Crews were called to a house fire next to The Anchor Inn in Faversham yesterday.

Three fire engines arrived just before 5.15pm to find the blaze in the roof space of a two-floor property in Abbey Street.

They left the scene just before 7.30pm and there were no reported injuries.

The cause of the fire remains unknown.

Customers at the nearby pub were told to move to the side of the garden furthest away while firefighters dealt with the incident.
