Cyclist injured in hit-and-run between Sheldwich and Faversham

A cyclist has suffered suspected broken bones in a late-night hit-and-run.
Police are trying to locate the driver of a car, after the man was found injured by the side of the A251 between Sheldwich and Faversham.
He was found near the road's junction with Porter's Lane, at about 11.30pm on Saturday.
The man described how a vehicle had collided with him while he cycled.
The vehicle left the area before police arrived.
The ambulance service attended the scene, where the cyclist was assessed and treated before being taken to William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.
Police are now carrying out inquiries to identify the make and model of the vehicle, in order to locate the driver and establish the full circumstances of the incident.
