Drunk woman arrested in Preston Street, Faversham, after reports of threatening behaviour

A drunk girl was arrested after reports of threatening behaviour near a train station.

Police were called to Preston Street in Faversham at about 11.34pm last night after a group of people reported they had been threatened.

Officers attended, along with British Transport Police, and an 18-year-old girl from Teynham was arrested on suspicion of making threats.

She is currently in custody.

A BTP spokeman said: "We assisted Kent police last night after reports of someone threatening members of the public at Faversham.

"A female was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence and taken to custody

"Once sober, she will be interviewed."
