Police evict family from Barnes Close, Faversham

A family will be evicted from their home for ‘persistent’ drug dealing and anti-social behaviour.

Police and Moat housing association announced today that the family living in Barnes Close has been issued with an eviction notice.

Neighbours have reportedly been ‘terrified’ of those living in the house.

A spokesman for Moat housing said: “After severe anti-social behaviour and persistent drug dealing from the home, a possession order has been awarded to Moat.

“The family will be required to leave the property on October 2 as part of the ruling.”

Sergeant Tim Hill of the Swale community safety unit said: ‘We will continue to work with social landlords to enforce housing tenancies in relation to preventing criminality and anti-social behaviour that blight communities.

“This sends a very clear message to others that this sort of behaviour will not be tolerated, and that if you continue then you may place your home at risk.’
