Residents near muck heap fire in Selling, Faversham, told to close windows and doors

Firefighters are at the scene of a muck heap fire this afternoon.

Those living near to Selling, Faversham, have been told to close their windows and doors as a precaution due to the smoke coming from the blaze.

Firefighters are at the scene, which is just off Selling Road, after crews were called shortly after 1pm today.

The fire service said: "People living near to Selling, in Faversham, are advised to close windows and doors as a precaution, due to smoke coming from a muck heap alight.

"Two fire engines are at the scene, which is just off Selling Road, and no injuries have been reported.

"Please share this information with any loved ones or neighbours in the affected area, who might not have access to the internet or social media."
