Man taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford after an incident at the Abbey School in Faversham

A man was taken to hospital after playing football in Faversham yesterday afternoon (Sunday).

The footballer in his 40s was struggling to breathe and complaining of chest pains after he was injured during a game of football at the Abbey School in London Road.

The air ambulance was called out along with a car and one ambulance who rushed to the scene at around 12.30pm.

He was taken by road ambulance to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.
