A grandmother who suffered nasty wounds in a dog attack has appealed for its owner to come forward.

Christine Manser, 64, was bitten by the black labrador outside her home in Bysing Wood Road, Faversham.

She says the dog walker left the scene, leaving her bleeding from her arm.

Despite three courses of antibiotics, her injuries are yet to heal and she fears they are infected.

“It’s going on and on and on,” she said. “When people see it, they say ‘oh my God, you should go to the doctor’.

“It’s still oozing. It’s still deep red, and raised, which is worrying me.”

The dog’s owner has not been seen in the area since the attack on Friday, October 20.

“I think she is deliberately not coming anywhere nearby,” Mrs Manser continued.

“The fact she has never returned to ask is what incenses me.

“I don’t want to berate this woman, but I would like her to see my arm as it is.

“It’s the fact that she saw it. She was apologetic at the time, but she’s never been back to say ‘how are you, how is your arm’.”

“She was as shocked as I was. I’d just like to have a conversation with her.”

Mrs Manser’s husband, Robert, is grateful the incident did not happen when their young grandchildren were round.

“They might have been playing in the garden so it could have been much worse,” he said.

Police are investigating the incident, which happened at about 10.20am.

Anyone with information is asked to call 01795 419119 quoting XY/55883/17.
