An emotional Holly Willoughby was brought to tears after watching a Kent family's rendition of a Les Misérables song with lockdown-themed lyrics.

The Marsh household, who live in Faversham, went viral with their twist on the musical favourite - turning it into a list of things people were complaining about amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Appearing on ITV's This Morning after KentOnline's story yesterday, the family spoke live about their version of One Day More.

After watching the video, presenter Phillip Schofield turns to his co-host Holly and says: "You cried!"

Fighting back the tears Holly says: "It makes me so emotional."

Speaking to the Marshes, she adds: "There are so many families out there spending time together thinking of things to do.

"There's something magical when a family does that and comes together."

Holly and her co-presenter, Phillip Schofield, ended the chat by urging them to "keep posting, do more."

Dad Dr Ben Marsh, a history lecturer at the University of Kent in Canterbury, told KentOnline yesterday his family have been overwhelmed with the more than four million views it has already received on Facebook.

He said his children - Alfie, 13, Thomas, 12, Ella, 10, and Tess, eight - have been in a few school productions but have otherwise had no musical theatre training.

He and wife Danielle Marsh, 42, also have no background in music.

The family also appeared on BBC Breakfast today and spoke to hosts Louise Minchin and Dan Walker.
