Woman freed from crash on busy London bound road near Faversham

Drivers are facing long delays after a crash on a busy road near Faversham this afternoon.

The London bound entry slip road at Junction 7 of the M2 has been blocked.

A woman was freed from a car which was on its side after it collided with a lorry.

It happened at the Brenley Corner roundabout at the M2 and A2 junction.

Firefighters were called just before 4.30pm and the woman was handed over to the paramedics.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service said: "KFRS was called to a crash at the Brenley Corner roundabout at the M2/A2 junction near Faversham.

"Crews found a woman trapped in a car on its side.

"Crews released the woman from the vehicle and she was placed in the care of paramedics.

"Crews made the scene safe."

Delays were reported until around 6.50pm.
