Motorists on the coast-bound stretch of the M2 are experiencing delays this morning after a crash.

Police officers were called at 9.20am to reports of a two-vehicle collision involving a Ford Fiesta and a BMW between Junction 5 (A249) and Junction 6 (Faversham).

It is reported that one of the cars aquaplaned in the outside lane and hit the central reservation resulting in the vehicle ending up on the grass just before Junction 6 for Faversham.

There are no reports of anyone being injured in the incident.
