A2 Canterbury Road closed in both directions closed near Faversham and Brenley Corner

A man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a crash on the A2 this morning.

Police were called to Canterbury Road in Faversham at around 5.30am after it was a reported a vehicle collided with two stationary cars.

A 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving and remains in custody.

The A2 is shut around Faversham

The road was closed between the A251 Ashford Road and the M2 J7 at Brenley Corner until around 7.30am, after the vehicles had been recovered and debris cleared.
