Man arrested on suspicion of drink driving after two vehicles crash on the M2 between Faversham and Sittingbourne

A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving following a crash on the M2.

Kent Police were called to the London bound carriageway of the motorway at 5.40pm after two vehicles were involved in a collision.

The crash blocked one of the lanes between Junction 6, Faversham and Junction 5, Sittingbourne.

The incident led to delays for other motorists with congestion stretching back to Junction 7, Brenley Corner.

The motorway was able to fully re-open at around 6.20pm however delays remain.

No one was seriously injured in the crash.
