Man taken to hospital after assault in South Road, Faversham

A man was taken to hospital after he was assaulted in a street.

It is understood the victim and the suspect are known to each other.

Officers attended the scene with paramedics and a man was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

A 19-year-old man from Faversham has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent, possession of an offensive weapon and class B drugs.

He has been released on bail until June 29.
