The M2 was closed until 9.45am Friday.

A five-vehicle crash closed part of the M2 coast-bound carriageway during Friday morning's rush hour.

An oil spillage had to be cleared, following the incident between the exit and entry slip roads at junction six for the A251 at Faversham at 8.35am.

Traffic was queuing almost as far back as junction five.

All vehicles were moved off the road while the carriageway was cleared, before it was reopened at 9.45am.

Kent Police are yet to confirm if anyone was injured in the collision.
