Faversham: Police shut North Lane close to Shepherd Neame brewery after pedestrian knocked down

A pensioner has suffered serious injuries after he was hit by a car close to the Shepherd Neame brewery in Faversham.

Police were called to North Lane following the incident involving a silver Skoda Yeti just before 9.30am this morning.

The pedestrian, a man in his 80s, sustained serious injuries and has been taken to a London hospital.

Officers closed off North Lane close to the junction with Partridge Lane.

They would like to speak with a woman who was driving a small, blue hatchback which was in the area at the time.

The driver is not suspected of any wrongdoing but it is believed she may have important information on how the collision happened.
