Faversham: Police chase suspect still on the run

A police chase in the early hours of this morning ended with a car crashing into the side of a house.

The driver is still on the run after the pursuit through Faversham between 1am and 2am today.

The police helicopter was also called in after a vehicle travelling in Love Lane was reported to have been speeding and failed to stop when requested to do so by officers.

The car which was being chased by police crashed into this house in Wells Way

A police spokesman said: "A pursuit ensued and the police helicopter provided assistance.

"At 2.06am the vehicle was involved in a collision with a property in Wells Way and the person inside is reported to have left the scene.

"An area search was conducted but at present no suspects have been identified.

"There are no reports of injuries being sustained as a result of this and enquiries are ongoing."
