A police helicopter has been seen above Faversham tonight.

Concerns for the welfare of a man in Whitstable prompted the police to carry out a search in both Whitstable and Faversham.

Reports suggest the helicopter circled around Abbeyfields, Belvedere Road and towards Hollowshore.

The man has since been found at a Faversham park, believed to be Faversham Recreation Ground in Whitstable Road.

He is currently with officers.
