Hit and run in Selling, near Faversham, leads to police hunt

Police have issued an appeal after a woman was taken to hospital following a hit and run.

The motorist drove away from the scene after a collision in Selling Road, Selling, on Tuesday evening left a pedestrian in her forties with a leg injury.

A police spokesman said: "Information is sought to help identify the driver of a vehicle involved in a collision.

The incident happened in Selling Road (14029496)

"The incident was reported at around 6.15pm on Tuesday, July 16.

"The car, believed to be a white Vauxhall Astra, is reported to have left the scene prior to the arrival of the emergency services and officers are conducting ongoing inquiries to locate its driver.

"As part of these inquiries, they would like to hear from anyone travelling in the area at a similar time as they could have important information that can assist with the investigation."
