Parents were contacted by headteacher David Anderson in the afternoon, who said in a message: “We are emailing as it has come to our attention that there are rumours circulating about a potential security issue at school.

“We can confirm that we had an issue involving a student at the school that was addressed immediately and that all students are safe and well.

“The vast majority of students are totally unaware that there was any issue at all.”
