A popular Kent restaurant has been forced to close after a member of staff tested positive for Covid.
Bosses from Italian chain Posillipo announced on Facebook that their Faversham eatery has been temporarily shut down.
In the post, which went up yesterday morning, they said the doors on the Belvedere Road business will remain locked until further notice.
They said: "Due to a member of staff testing positive for Covid-19, we are now closed at Faversham until further notice.
"Sorry for the inconvenience."
Posillipo's Broadstairs and Canterbury restaurants continue to run as usual.
This comes as Wetherspoon pub the Golden Lion in Rochester High Street cut its trading hours, after an outbreak of Covid-19 among employees.
Six members of staff contracted the virus, while 11 more are isolating.
Wetherspoon spokesman Eddie Gershon told KentOnline: "Given the number of staff temporarily unavailable for work, the pub will be operating at a reduced capacity this week and the kitchen will be operating reduced opening hours from 9am – 9pm.
"Usual trading will resume as soon as possible when the staff who are isolating are able to return to work."
