A primary school in Faversham has been handed a glowing Ofsted report, with an outstanding grade across the board.
Ethelbert Road is celebrating this week after its Ofsted report came back with every category awarded top marks.
After a good report last year, the school has excelled itself and head teacher Samantha Fenn is delighted with the feedback.
The report said that the head teacher, with the support of the senior leaders and governing body, had the “highest expectations for all pupils.”
It said they provided “outstanding leadership” which enabled staff and pupils to “thrive and achieve highly.”
The report said: “The pupils’ exceptional personal, spiritual, moral and social development is at the heart of the school’s success and underpins everything they do.
“Standards and progress in reading, writing and mathematics are consistently well above the national average. The teaching is outstanding.
“Pupils are exceptionally well motivated to learn. They take the utmost pride in their work and constantly strive to do their best.”
Twelve classes were observed over two days between September 30 and October 1 and the 73 answers to a questionnaire for parents were taken into account.
The report also said that pupils felt “safe”, with parents having “complete confidence” in the school’s ability to look after the children.
Attendance is well above the national average because “pupils like coming to school.”
Miss Fenn, who has been head teacher for the last 10 years, said: “I am absolutely delighted. I just think that the report encapsulates our school extremely well.
“The staff team work tirelessly to provide enriched and exciting learning opportunities for the children and the report reflects what a brilliant impact their dedication and the enthusiasm has on the children’s well-being and achievement.
“We have had a fantastic response from parents and from many people in the community and we will continue to work tirelessly to provide the best possible education.”
