Fire crews and highways officers joined police at the scene, where the person behind the wheel of the car reported minor injuries.

The route was closed while arrangements were made to recover the vehicle, before reopening at about 12.20pm

Meanwhile, a road Stickfast Lane in Bobbing was also closed following a two-car crash earlier today.

"We were called just after 9.50am to a collision involving two cars," a police spokesman said.

"Officers attended the scene where no injuries were reported.

"The road was closed to traffic due to ice on the road surface."
