A man will appear in court today after a sniffer dog search ended in his arrest.

Police were called to Bysing Wood Road in Faversham at around 3.50am yesterday to reports a bag had been snatched from a car.

Ashley De Luca, 29, was later arrested and charged with three counts of theft from a motor vehicle.

Ashley Mario De Luca claims to be an expert in stealing.

De Luca, of Ivory Close, will appear before magistrates today.

Sniffer dogs had been brought in after the theft to carry out a search of the area and a number of items from the stolen bag were discovered.

Around 20 minutes earlier, the Ship Inn in Ospringe had also been broken into, but nothing was reported stolen.
