In a post on Twitter by Southeastern at 10.30am, the train operator stated the work would take four hours to complete.

Passengers for Canterbury will be able to travel via Ramsgate instead and replacement bus services are currently operating.

Southeastern have urged people to check their journey and allow extra time to reach their destination.
