The M2 is open again after a crash caused three cars to catch fire earlier this morning.
Two people have been taken to hospital for further checks after the crash on the London-bound carriageway near Faversham between junctions 6 and 7.
Traffic was held following the smash at 8am with Highways England reopening one lane of the London-bound side at 10am with coastbound traffic released at 9am.
Emergency services, including police, fire and ambulance responded to the incident and three casualties were assessed by paramedics.
The crash, which involved four vehicles, caused four-mile tailbacks with drivers stuck in queues for almost two hours.
Three of the vehicles caught fire with a witness saying the cars had been completely destroyed by the blaze.
