The London-bound carriageway of the A2 near Boughton has reopened after a van caught light.

The carriageway was completely closed at about 7am today, and the outside lane remained shut until about 10am while emergency services dealt with the incident.

Westbound drivers faced rush hour disruption, but the delays have now cleared.
