Woman taken to Kings College hospital by Kent Air Ambulance after she falls from horse in Dargate, Faversham

A 50-year-old woman suffered serious head injuries after falling off a horse.

Two ambulances and the air ambulance were called out to a field in Dargate, just outside of Faversham, where the woman had fallen.

Paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after 2pm yesterday, where the patient had suffered head and lower arm injuries.

She was airlifted to Kings College hospital in London.

Air Ambulance spokesman Gerda Murdoch said: "SECamb received a call at 14.30 hours on August 3 to attend a 50-year-old female who had fallen off a horse in Dargate, Faversham.

"Two ambulance crews attended the patient who had sustained a head injury (potentially serious) and she was subsequently air-lifted to Kings College hospital for further treatment."
