If you can't go to the office and are feeling bitter about working from home, then how about taking your business to the pub?

That's what villagers are doing now the Red Lion at Badlesmere near Faversham has begun hiring out its own range of pub desks.

Kristina Curtis' exclusive report from the Red Lion for KMTV

Landlady Lisa Burton said: "We thought it was an opportunity to fill some tables which had been a little empty after the guidelines changed.

"People must be going stir-crazy working from home with other members of the family, or on their own and not seeing anybody, so we came up with the idea of the pub desk.

"We are a quiet country pub so people can work in a quiet environment while at the same time having a little bit of interaction as well as enjoying a change of scenery."

The pub began advertising its strange new concept on its Facebook page and now has a number of regulars who conduct business near the bar.

It certainly fits the bill for Jonathan Buckett.

The businessman said: "It's a completely different atmosphere sitting here. It feels quite normal when I'm on a conference call and they ask where I am and I say the pub - although I have a coffee instead of a beer!"

For £10 you can hire a table for up to three hours along with your own plug socket, unlimited wifi and free refills of cups of tea or coffee.

You even get a small pub lunch of soup and a wrap.

It's enough to brighten the spirits of any fed-up man or woman battling the boredom of working from home.
