A 20 year-old man was arrested after a car caught fire in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Police were called to the blaze on the A2 Brenchley roundabout, Faversham, at 12.30am, after firefighters had informed them of a yellow Fiat Brava being on fire.

Robbie Holmes, of Lower Road, Faversham, was arrested and later charged with taking a vehicle without consent, driving without a licence and driving without insurance.

He is due before magistrates in Sittingbourne on Monday, September 25.
