Two men who tried to break into a property are believed to have been targeting some puppies which had been advertised for sale on Facebook.
Police are investigating a report of an attempted burglary in Whiting Crescent, Faversham, at about 2.40am on Wednesday, January 12.
A police spokesman said: "Entry was not gained to the address, and no property was stolen, but the suspects are reported to have tried to force open a door."
Enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the attempted raid remain ongoing.
But it is understood that one line of inquiry is that the men wanted to steal some puppies from the premises after seeing the dogs advertised on Facebook.
