A busy rural road has been shut following reports of a serious crash involving a van, car and motorbike.

The A251 Ashford Road in Badlesmere Lees, which is between Faversham and Ashford, has been closed this afternoon.

The crash occurred about 3pm.

A diversion has been in place for several hours while an investigation has been carried out at the scene.

Police have been contacted for more information.
