A Faversham woman could be crowned the ultimate champion of Come Dine With Me.
After storming her way to the £1,000 prize in 2012, Sally Parry has earned a place on the Champion of Champions.
Judged by Michelin-star chef Glynn Purnell, the contestants, who have all won an episode of the popular Channel 4 cookery show, will fight it out for victory.
Sally, 44, of Egbert Road, received 33 points for her winning menu in 2012, featuring potted salmon, fillet steaks and edible glitter for pudding.
In the new twist to the tongue-in-cheek show, winners of previous episodes will be put through their paces across a week, taking on three culinary challenges each day and the winner going through to the grand final.
Sally said: “We were taken to Derbyshire for the week with all expenses and travel paid for. It was one of the most fantastic experiences of my life.
“It was such a hoot. Unlike the normal show, we were told what to make. It was very different to the usual format of Come Dine With Me and I think it is probably more similar to MasterChef.
“I loved it when I was first on Come Dine With me so it was very exciting to have the opportunity again.
“It was much more serious. Not as much drinking as before!”
Not only will the contenders be judged by Mr Purnell, they will also face a selection of their former fellow contestants.
Hilarious voiceover Dave Lamb will be stepping out from behind the microphone to present the show.
Channel 4’s head of daytime TV David Sayer said: “Come Dine With Me has produced some unforgettable moments and people and this exciting new series will really celebrate the best of them, putting what they’ve learned in the kitchen to test in a high pressure cooking competition.”
Sally’s episode is believed to be airing tonight.
