A three-car crash blocked the M2 this evening causing long delays.

The accident happened on the coast-bound carriageway near Faversham, just after 6pm.

The wrecked vehicles were moved to the hard shoulder at about 7pm.

There are not believed to be any serious injuries.

Both lanes are now clear and traffic is back to normal.
