Drivers suffered delays of more than an hour on the M2 coastbound after a multi-vehicle crash.

Police were called to the collision near to junction 5 between Sittingbourne and Faversham just before 5pm.

One lane was closed and drivers advised to use alternative routes.

A police spokesman confirmed the coastbound crash involved at least two cars near to junction 5 turn-off.

He said: "Officers are currently at the scene whilst recovery is arranged."
