A multi-vehicle crash closed the M2 between Sittingbourne and Faversham this evening.

Emergency services were called to the accident involving a lorry and three cars, which happened just after 6pm, between junction 5 and 6 on the coast-bound side of the motorway.

Kent Highways asked drivers to approach the area with caution, and traffic built up in the area.

There are not thought to have been any serious injuries.

The road is now reopen.
