A single-vehicle crash on the a busy motorway has caused delays

Police were called to the London-bound carriage way of the M2 between junction five, Sittingbourne, and junction six, Faversham shortly before 3pm.

Traffic is said to be very slow, and is affecting travel between Rochester and Canterbury.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 2.55pm following a single-vehicle collision on the M2 London-bound between Junctions 5 and 6.

"Officers attended to ensure the carriageway was safe.

"No injuries were reported."
