Two people were taken to hospital after a crash on the M2.
The incident involving two cars happened on the London-bound carriageway near junction 6 for Faversham.
Traffic was held for almost two hours after the accident, which happened near the slip-road.
A police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called at 6.42pm on Saturday 23 February to a collision involving two cars on the London-bound carriageway of the M2, between junctions 6 and 5.
“Patrols, paramedics, fire crews and highways officers attended the scene where two people were treated for injuries.
“They were taken to hospital for further medical attention.
“The carriageway was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident and the vehicles were recovered.”
