A drug dealer caught with cocaine and heroin worth as much as £1,300 has been jailed.
Lewis Cady was arrested by police last month after he was seen sitting on a stationary e-scooter in East Street, Faversham, with a known drug user.
After watching how the 35-year-old behaved, officers searched him and discovered 65 wraps of both white and brown substances.
Tests indicated they were heroin and cocaine, and police say that further investigations showed the quantities in Cady's possession had a street value of between £650 and £1,300.
Cady, who is from Perry Wood in Selling, was arrested and charged with drug offences, which he later admitted at Maidstone Crown Court.
And during a hearing today, the Faversham dealer was sentenced to three years and four months in prison.
PC Jill Stoneham said: "Cady was openly supplying class A drugs in Faversham, targeting vulnerable drug users.
"Drugs not only destroy the lives of those who consume them but also friends and family who are associated with them.
"I’m pleased Cady has been jailed and I would encourage anyone concerned about drug dealing in their area to call Kent Police on 101, or report it via our website, so we can investigate accordingly."
