There were delays on the M2 and A299 this morning after a crash.

Emergency services were called to the collision involving one vehicle on the coastbound New Thanet Way between Brenley Corner and Dargate services, near Faversham.

The A299 was closed coastbound but has since reopened.

Three fire engines attended and crews helped to make the scene safe.

A police spokesman said: “Officers are currently at the scene of a one-vehicle collision on the east-bound A299 Thanet Way, between Brenley Corner and the Dargate services, which was reported at 6.28am today.

“No serious injuries have been reported.

“Officers are working with partner agencies to clear and reopen the road.”
