A driver was injured and a road is closed after a crash between a car and a lorry.

The collision happened at 10.11am today on Faversham Road in Newnham.

The car driver suffered minor injuries and emergency services were called to the scene.

The route remains blocked between North Eastling Road and Elverland Lane.

A police spokesman said: “Officers were called at 10.11am today to a collision involving a lorry and a car in Faversham Road, Newnham.

“We attended the scene where minor injuries were reported by one of the drivers.

“Arrangements are underway to recover the vehicles.”
