The son and daughter of missing great-grandmother Anne Gregory have made an emotional plea for her safe return.
Mrs Gregory, 81, went missing from her home in Churchill Way, Faversham, on Saturday.
Police are pulling out all the stops in a bid to find her with helicopter searches and house to house questioning by scores of officers.
At an emotional press conference in Sittingbourne, Mrs Gregory’s daughter Karen Grant, who lives in Faversham, said her mother sometimes became confused and needed to be found.
“She is a very proud lady with five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, the last born in August,” said Mrs Grant.
She said her mother was a regular attender at church on Sundays and she helped her to get dressed before her friends collected her. But on Sunday, Mrs Gregory was not at home.
“I just really want to find her,” she said.
Ch Insp Tony Henley said he was very concerned about Mrs Gregory. He said she had either left Faversham as she sometimes did or she was still in the town.
“We are doing everything we can to find Anne,” he said.
Mrs Gregory, a widow, was last seen at 9.45am on Sunday walking up Dark Hill on the opposite side of the road to the duck pond.
She is 5ft 3ins, with a fair complexion and short grey bushy hair. She is believed to be wearing a white blouse, dark blue jeans, a knee-length silver grey coat and cream slip-on shoes. She also wears a gold crucifix and oval gold earrings and carries a Burberry pattern purse and a red and blue handbag.
