Five fire engines were rushed to the scene of a field blaze near Faversham.
Crews were called to the Workhouse Road, between Leaveland and Throwley Forstal, shortly after 2.15pm.
They arrived to find large plumes of smoke coming from the site and a field of stubble alight.
Firefighters used hose reel jets, beaters and flexi-packs to extinguish the blaze before damping down any remaining hotspots.
No casualties were reported and crews left the scene by 3.30pm.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
