With stunning lights, Christmas markets and a themed town trail, there isn’t much more the town can do to be festive.
Cue Faversham Gunpowder WI. They have been busy adding an extra sprinkle of Christmas magic around the town.
Knitted creations have been springing up throughout the streets, with an eye-catching piece featuring snowmen and penguins proudly topping the main post box in East Street, and robins adorning railing in Court Street among the displays.
Gunpowder WI president Susi Du Toit said: “We’ve detonated our yarn bombs and are overwhelmed with such a positive response from so many people in our town.
“The postboxes look festive, the railings are jolly, and we’ve even added some cheer to the sadly boarded up Iceland store.
“Well done to all our talented crafters who have spread some Christmas joy in Faversham.”
As part of their festive efforts, the team also had a stall at the market on Saturday, selling plenty treats.
This raised more than £800, and the charities this is split between will be decided at next year's AGM.
