Traffic is queueing and one lane has been closed on the A299 Thanet way just before the Brenley Corner turn-off.

Two vehicles are believed to have been involved in a crash near J7, with tailbacks on the Thanet Way back to the Herne Bay junction and on Dargate Road to Courtenay Road.

Lane one of two is closed, with recovery vehicles reported on the scene from just before 7am.

A police spokesman said the crash happened just before 6am when a car travelling on the London-bound carriageway of the Thanet Way near Faversham was in a crash with a car that had broken down.

There are no reports of injuries.
