Drivers are facing three miles of queues on a motorway following a smash between a van and a car.

One lane of the M2 Londonbound was shut between Faversham and Sittingbourne following the incident at about 11am but has now reopened.

Traffic specialists Inrix report that a car and a van were involved in the crash, prompting two miles of queues around Junction 6.

Police have been contacted for more information.
