A 21-year-old man has appeared in court accused of the double murder of an elderly married couple.
Brett Clifton, of Becket Street, Faversham, is charged with murdering 78-year-old Vera Martin and her husband Terry, 72, at their home in Abbey Street, Faversham.
Clifton was remanded in custody when he appeared before magistrates at Sittingbourne on Monday. He is now due to appear at the crown court on Monday, February 13.
The bodies of Mr and Mrs Martin were discovered by a family member at around 8.45am last Wednesday morning. Both died from multiple injuries after a violent struggle.
One adult and three juveniles have been released on police bail in connection with the murders.
