A young man's body was found in fields near a popular walking spot.
Police and paramedics were called to the area near Faversham sewage works in Abbey Fields on Saturday morning.
Officers say the man's death is not being treated as suspicious and detectives are preparing a report for the coroner after the discovery shortly after 9.30am.
A man walking his dog at 10.30am came across a group of around 15 people and several police cars and paramedics at the scene on the path near the bridge over the stream close to the water treatment works.
A police spokesman says the man is aged in his 20s and his next of kin have been informed.
They added: "Kent Police was called to Abbey Fields, Faversham, at 9.31am on Saturday, March 16 following the sudden death of a man in his 20s.
"SECAmb also attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being compiled for the Coroner. Next of kin are aware."
An ambulance service spokesman added: "I can confirm we attended the scene and that a man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene."
