A crash on the M2 motorway which involved a vehicle going off the road caused delays on the highway.

The accident happened on the coast-bound carriageway between Junction 5 at Sittingbourne and Junction 6 at Faversham.

It is unknown how many vehicles were involved in the accident or if anyone was hurt.

One of two coast-bound lanes on the M2 were closed but reopened again at about 4pm and traffic has now returned to normal.
