A motorist has been spotted driving the wrong way down a busy motorway in Kent.

It has been reported that a vehicle was seen travelling towards Faversham on the Londonbound side of the M2.

Matrix signs have reduced the speed limit to 20mph between Junction 7 at Brenley Corner and Junction 5 for Sittingbourne and Maidstone while the incident is dealt with.

Live reports show traffic is currently slow in the area.

Police have been asked for more information.
