A MAN was arrested after allegedly making threats to kill a parking warden who had issued him with a ticket.
The 25-year-old victim was patrolling the area around Fielding Street, Faversham, on Saturday, when she noticed a car parked on double yellow lines.
She waited for more than five minutes but when the driver failed to return to the car, she issued a parking ticket.
It is alleged that a man was then threatening and abusive towards her. Police arrested and cautioned a 41-year-old local man on suspicion of making threats to kill.
The parking manager for Swale Borough Council, said: "It is not acceptable for any person to suffer verbal or physical abuse just for doing their job. We will not tolerate aggressive behaviour towards our employees.
"Effective parking control is vital to keep traffic flowing freely, protect the rights of local residents and businesses and provide access for emergency services."
